How far ahead to order for Christmas
Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026. Work backward from the date each piece needs to be in hands:
- Direct mail: payment and artwork are due four weeks before the in-home date, and Radiant Printing recommends five to six. For mailers landing the week of December 14, that means early to mid November.
- Banners: plan on about two weeks from order to delivery, including proofs and shipping.
- Invite cards: Church Ink prints postcards in 2 to 4 business days once your file is ready, plus shipping. Order by early December so families have them for two Sundays.
- Notebooks or gifts: Scout Books takes about three weeks after proof approval.
Before you upload the file
- Send a print-ready PDF at the exact size, with bleed. At PrintPlace, a file that fails checks restarts the turnaround clock.
- Proofread service times, the address and the website on the proof, not just the design file. Church Ink doesn't check your files for you.
- Turnaround usually counts business days of production only. Weekends, holidays and shipping come on top.
Need the design too?
A Remix Church Media Christmas template, which we make, covers the slides, posts and stories, and its license includes print for your own church. Or hand the whole set to Church Media Squad, which designs print, stage and social sizes from one request. Send Christmas requests three weeks ahead.
