The short answer: is OneLicense right for your church?

OneLicense lets your church reprint and project hymns and congregational songs from more than 300 publishers, including GIA, OCP and Hope Publishing. It's best for Catholic and mainline churches printing a weekly worship aid. The catch: streaming is an add-on, not every title is cleared for streaming, and online views count toward your size category.

Is it right for you?

Who OneLicense is for

Great for

  • Catholic and mainline churches printing a weekly worship aid
  • Music directors who want hymn texts and melody lines for the bulletin
  • Churches streaming Mass or services that include licensed hymns

Skip it if

  • Churches singing mostly contemporary worship songs. A license built around contemporary worship catalogs may cover more of your set list.
  • Choirs wanting to copy octavos or instrumental parts. The license excludes them, so buy the printed music.

How churches use OneLicense

  1. Weekly worship aid

Print the hymns and service music in Sunday's worship aid, then report each title through the OneLicense website.

  2. Streaming Mass or service

Bundle Podcast / Streaming with your Annual License so you can show lyrics and melody lines in the stream.

  3. Weddings and funerals

Annual licenses cover weddings, funerals and one-time events your church hosts, as long as attendance stays within your category.

Questions churches ask

OneLicense FAQ

What does OneLicense cover?

The Annual License covers reprinting or projecting the words and melodies of covered songs for your congregation. It excludes choir and cantor parts, accompaniments, full scores, instrumental parts and choral octavos.

Can we stream services with OneLicense?

Yes, with a Podcast / Streaming License. Each title must be approved for streaming, all music must be reported, and the video can stay online only while your license is paid.

Do we need both OneLicense and CCLI?

It depends on your song list. Each license covers only its own member publishers' songs, so search your most-used titles on both before you buy.

How much does OneLicense cost?

The Annual License runs from $126 a year for up to 25 people to $1,999 for 20,001 or more. The Podcast / Streaming add-on is $74 to $770 (Oct 2026).
