The short answer: is Noun Project Photos right for your church?
Noun Project Photos is a curated stock collection focused on diverse, authentic people and places, sold alongside Noun Project's icons. It suits churches that already pay for Noun Pro icons and want more representative photos. The catch: many free photos are noncommercial with no edits allowed, and even the paid license bars pairing recognizable people with religious messages.
Who Noun Project Photos is for
Great for
- Churches already paying for Noun Pro icons who want photos in the same plan
- Designers who need textures, flat lays and copy-space shots for slide backgrounds
- Teams that want stock that reflects a wider range of people and places
Skip it if
- Churches that need photos of people for sermon or outreach graphics. A faith-focused stock library is a safer fit.
- Teams with no budget. A free photo site with a simple no-credit license is easier.
How churches use Noun Project Photos
Slide backgrounds
Use textures and landscapes with no people in them as backgrounds for announcement slides and lyric screens.
Icons and photos together
If you already use Noun Project icons for wayfinding signs or the church app, add photos to the same subscription instead of juggling another account.
Website section images
Pick a flat lay or copy-space image for a ministry page header where your own photos don't fit.

Noun Project Photos FAQ
Is Noun Project Photos free for churches?
Some photos are free to download, but many carry a Creative Commons license that requires credit, allows only noncommercial use and forbids edits. Unlimited, uncredited use needs Noun Pro with the photo add-on, billed yearly.
Can we use Noun Project photos of people in sermon graphics?
Usually not. The terms bar putting a recognizable person in material with religious messages, so a sermon graphic or outreach ad with a face in it isn't allowed.
Can we add text to a free Noun Project photo?
Not if it's under the CC BY-NC-ND license, which forbids derivatives. Pro subscribers can crop, edit and make derivatives.
Does Noun Project offer a nonprofit discount?
It doesn't publish one. The only listed discount is 50% off Noun Pro for educators and students.
