The short answer: is Rawpixel right for your church?
Rawpixel is a stock library best known for its free public domain collection of classic paintings, engravings and vintage illustrations, many of them biblical. It's best for church designers who want sermon series art that doesn't look like stock photography. The catch: free accounts get 10 other downloads a day, and the paid Business plan covers one user.
Who Rawpixel is for
Great for
- Designers who want classic Bible art, like Doré engravings, for a sermon series
- Churches that want vintage illustrations without paying for stock
- Small teams that need a handful of business-use downloads each week
Skip it if
- Teams that need one subscription shared by several designers. A multi-seat stock plan fits better.
- Churches building a logo they plan to trademark. Rawpixel keeps copyright on its own content, so start from original artwork.
How churches use Rawpixel
Sermon series key art
Pull a public domain engraving of the prodigal son or the good shepherd and add your series title. You get art no other church in town is using.
Christmas and Easter backgrounds
Classic Bible-scene engravings and paintings make strong backgrounds for slides and invite cards. Public domain pieces are CC0, so there's nothing to credit on the slide.
Quick social graphics
Start from one of Rawpixel's free editable templates in the browser, swap in your event details and download it for Instagram.

Rawpixel FAQ
Is Rawpixel free for churches?
Much of it is. The free plan includes unlimited public domain downloads plus 10 other downloads a day for business or personal use. Charities can also email Rawpixel to be considered for a free Business membership.
Do we need to credit Rawpixel on our slides?
Not for public domain images. They carry a CC0 license with no attribution required. Check the license label on any other image before you use it.
Can we use Rawpixel images in our church logo?
Rawpixel doesn't recommend it without considerable changes to the design. Because Rawpixel keeps the copyright on its own content, you can't trademark it.
Can we buy one Rawpixel image without subscribing?
No. Rawpixel doesn't sell single images. It suggests subscribing for a month, downloading what you need and canceling before the next billing date.
